Walt Dinsey Fact #481

Before Walton died, he wrote one last screenplay. He considered it his finest work, a masterpiece for the masses, but he knew that the world was not ready for it yet. It would take a very special generation to appreciate the subtle themes, complicated character arcs and deeply emotional dialogue. Walton showed it to no one, and hid it away.

While on his deathbed, Walton called to his brother Ron, and handed him an envelope containing the script. With his dying breath he whispered “Brother, save this until the world is ready. Give it to my godson, John, when the time is right. This story is my final gift to my fans, it is unlike anything I have ever written. In fact, it is from a world above.”

Mr. John Lasseter took great care of Walton’s final gift, and although he could have chosen any time to make this film, he waited until the right time. Now, Walton’s masterpiece will finally be seen on the silver screen:
